Check-in: staying connected during lock down

We’re pleased to announce the setting up of an informal mentoring network, Check-in: staying connected during lock down. While we are now seeing some easing of lock down restrictions, it is inevitable that working life will be mainly from home for the next few months. With that in mind, we want to make sure our network of senior female professionals can provide support for younger professionals who are missing the everyday learning and support they have from an office environment.

We’re looking for both mentors and mentees that would be interested in taking part in some 30-minute check-in calls in the coming weeks. You would fill in a short form to tell us about yourself. We would match mentors and mentees and then ask that both sides commit to three 30-minutes video calls over the next six weeks.

For this first round of matching up to 20 mentors with mentees, we’re going to focus on female-to-female mentoring from our networks but if take up is good, we anticipate working with other organisations to widen the opportunity to all genders.

Update 8 June: we've now closed this intiatives to new applicants but if you are interested or have any questions, please contact andrea@womentalk-re.org
